The BEST Work Crew Ever!

The nieces came to stay all week, and what a gift! Along with Isaac, they were a wonder of a work crew helping to get the house ready for the celebrations.
Every morning they cleaned, scrubbed, gardened, , and brought lots of laughter and fun to the work load.
We asked family to drop off coolers for the beverages and all the meat that Bill was scheduled to grill for the rehearsal dinner and wedding day. Alyssa and Kelsey make fast work of cleaning coolers, while Isaac designs a brickwork edging for the backyard. Kelsey paints a table for one of the many seating areas that we’ll need for the many evenings of dinner for the shower and rehearsal dinner. Margo gave the girls lists for Trader Joe’s and Costco shopping, and they inspired Greg with their giggles, encouraging him to come home with flowers and candy which were not on the list – but definitely necessary for the celebrations!

What was most impressive to us was that every night the girls made time on their own to finish homework pages they knew they needed to do. They would read or do worksheet pages in their math and language books. Very impressive girls!

In the evening we made time for lots of fun to rest from the big work schedule. When the girls were not enjoying Alyssa's video game, we watched movies and headed for the local Baskins & Robbins for ice cream treats.
